BN YOUTH TO ORGANISE THE LARGEST JOB FAIR IN MALAYSIA
Fresh graduates, school leavers and job seekers alike are advised to mark their calendars for the inaugural Barisan Nasional Youth Job Fair 2011 (BNYJF’11) to be held from the 25th – 27th of March 2011 at the PWTC. Estimated to be the biggest ever career fair in Malaysia, the first edition of this event promises a great line-up of exhibitors comprising of well-known recruitment agencies, corporate entities, multinationals & training companies as well as government agencies.
The initial launch and unveiling of BNYJF’11will be lead by Barisan Nasional Youth Chief, YB Khairy Jamaluddin, who will provide greater insight into the event and speak on the various opportunities available. Prime Minister, YAB Dato’ Seri Mohd Najib bin Tun Haji Abdul Razak will be invited to launch BNYJF’11 itself, which begins on the 25th of March 2011.
One of the major highlights of BNYJF’11 is the introduction of an innovative and effective barcode system that is designed to help create real time submissions of resume to all prospective employers. The barcode system allows potential employers real time information about potential candidates and expedite the entire process of screening. Moreover BNYJF’11 will give job seekers the opportunity to come face to face with their preferred choice of employers and even their dream jobs. The event will feature job opportunities and placements from inside and outside of Malaysia. BNYJF’11 seeks to address and narrow the gap between the expectations of the current genre of employers and the existing workforce. These include identifying changes in workplace and the rapid evolution of technology. The event will incorporate training sessions and talks to equip employers and job seekers with the latest developments in the career industry. Students, school-leavers, unemployed graduates and working professionals are encouraged to attend and learn how to continually enhance their skills and knowledge through professional training sessions.
Job seekers are advised to come early with resumes in hand and be prepared for on the spot interviews with prospective employers. This is the perfect opportunity to evaluate where you stand in the current job market and get an insight into jobs that are in demand currently and for the rest of the year 2011. Other attractions include on the spot creation of video resume, which introduces the concept of real time resume of potential candidates, resume clinics, internship corner, career talks, skill enhancement corner, training sessions, etc.
Judging from the exposure and detailed pre-event itinerary such as career talks, workshops, media awareness and a nationwide pre-event awareness road show campaign, the organizers of the event estimate 500,000 visitors and 650 vendors to participate in the inaugural BNYJF’11; offering 20,000 jobs on the spot, making it the largest single job fair event in the country.
BNYJF’11 will be open to the public from 10am to 7pm at Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC), Kuala Lumpur from 25th till 27th of March 2011. Admission is free.
BNYJF’11 is proudly organized by the Barisan National Youth and managed by My Events Sdn Bhd.
